FIREBALL

A reimagination of the iconic 90s Delhi nightclub, Fireball was conceived as an immersive spatial experience inspired by the cinematic world of Dune — where raw landscapes, ritualistic forms and futuristic atmospheres converge. The project explored a language of “handcrafted brutalism”, balancing monolithic architectural gestures with tactile, artisanal materiality.

The design direction drew from the eroded terrains of Arrakis — sculpted rock formations, wind-carved textures and cavernous spatial volumes translated into a dramatic nightlife environment. Layered earthen surfaces, sandblasted textures, angular geometries and softened brutal forms create a space that feels both ancient and futuristic.

The scope extended across interior design, furniture design, material exploration and overall creative direction. Bespoke furniture pieces were developed as sculptural objects within the space — featuring tapered forms, carved volumes, raw finishes and primitive geometries that echo the architecture itself. Materiality became central to the narrative, with oxidised metals, textured plasters, earthy stone tones and handcrafted surfaces reinforcing the immersive world-building.

Lighting was treated architecturally — concealed glows, low ambient illumination and shadow-driven spaces heighten the cinematic quality of the club, transforming it from lounge to nightlife experience as the evening progresses.

Rather than referencing brutalism in its conventional concrete expression, the project interprets it through craft, erosion and atmosphere — creating a sensory environment that feels elemental, immersive and otherworldly.
